چکیده
Abstract Guided play activities were developed so that coding clubs could promote computational thinking skills in preschool children. The involved fifteen children aged between 2 and 4 years, including a group of with communication difficulties. took part an action-research scoping study over three involving six 45–60-min sessions. to teach and, ultimately, concepts programming coding. findings suggested the began develop many necessary for as well such collaboration, logical debugging algorithms. However, they found specific algorithms into Bee-Bots complicated needed support from adults direct robots along routes on simple maps. Overall, guided be used nurseries establishments early skills.

Understanding Computational Thinking before Programming: Developing Guidelines for the Design of Games to Learn Introductory Programming through Game-Play
This paper outlines an innovative game-based approach to learning introductory programming that is grounded in the development of computational thinking at an abstract conceptual level, but also provides a direct contextual relationship between game-play and learning traditional introductory programming. The paper proposes a possible model for, and guidelines in support of, this games-based app...
متن کاملChildren, play, and computers in pre-school education
The paper reports a study designed to inform the development of an information and communication technology strategy for the pre-school years of education. The main methods of collecting evidence were observations at seven pre-school settings and interviews with at least two practitioners and a number of children at each site. Practitioners generally referred to children “playing with the compu...
متن کاملA Web Framework to Develop Computational Thinking through Music Coding
Music coding is a new discipline aiming to develop a computational way of thinking through music experience even in musically-untrained subjects. In this work we will show how music can represent both a valid learning tool and an engaging reinforcement technique to approach coding at an early stage of children education, i.e. in the primary school. This work starts from the discussion of the ed...
متن کاملCTArcade : Learning Computational Thinking While Training AI Through Game Play
In this paper we describe a web application framework for developing games that teach users about computational thinking and the preliminary research that led to its creation. CTArcade was developed to be the foundation for a library of several challenging games that engage the users’ innate computational thinking (CT) skills. These skills are employed when the users are asked to teach an artif...
متن کاملA Tangible Programming Tool for Children to Cultivate Computational Thinking
Game and creation are activities which have good potential for computational thinking skills. In this paper we present T-Maze, an economical tangible programming tool for children aged 5-9 to build computer programs in maze games by placing wooden blocks. Through the use of computer vision technology, T-Maze provides a live programming interface with real-time graphical and voice feedback. We c...
